- A Team-Building Initiative, is a year-long running platform where professors and
startups of IITM can find potential students to build their teams. At the same time, it
would help students know about the opportunities present in these fields.
The vision behind this initiative is to promote and nurture:
1. The Startup culture in IITM , by providing Insti Entrepreneurs with official team members and Co-founders for their venture/ideas and also help institute students experience an entrepreneurial journey by being part of early-stage startups.
2. The Research culture in IITM , by providing professors an efficient and structured way to get student researchers and for students to have all the ongoing research project opportunities made accessible in one place

How is TeamUp different from E-Cell's Internfair?
Through TeamUp, we aim to help early-stage startups build their team by helping them connect with like-minded interested students. Through Internfair, more developed startups will be hiring students for fixed roles as interns, rather than team members.
How many Start-up profiles can you apply for ?
In the case of Start-up profiles, you can apply to any number of profiles that you
want.
Note:
Once selected for a profile. You will have to accept that and all other applications
(submitted to other profiles) will be removed automatically. Moreover, you won’t be
able to apply for any other StartUp profiles till the next semester. (You would
still be able to apply to Professor projects)
How many Professor projects can you apply for ?
In the case of Professor projects, you can apply to
most 2 projects
.
Note:
Once selected for a project. You will have to accept that and the application
submitted for the other project will be removed automatically. Moreover, you won’t
be able to apply for any other professor projects till the next semester. (You would
still be able to apply to StartUp profiles)
Is it open for students of all the Years and Branches?
Yes, Students from all the years and branches of IIT Madras can apply for TeamUp.
In how many days can I expect a response after applying for a profile/project?
Generally, within a week unless any other special circumstance.
Is there any registration fee at any stage of TeamUp?
No, TeamUp is completely free to register and apply.
Is there any special resume format that we should follow?
No. You can use any format for your resume.
